This is something you can do already from the Mac’s Apple menu in the Menubar, but T.T. O’Brien found a better way.
It’s a Mac utility called Trickster which keeps track not only of recently used files but also favorite or often used files. Click the Menubar icon and pretty much everything you used recently, or want to use now, is there.
And much more, including newly created or recently modified files, favorites, and more; all drag and drop.
