This is something Apple could do and I would buy into it in a heartbeat. Dave has the setup and the solution:
The internet as we know it is broken. Who did it? Nefarious countries who do not want their citizens to have unfettered access to the rest of the world’s influence. China, Russia, and many others block, inhibit, censor full internet access.
So, the internet is becoming more and more fragmented. Dave’s solution is yet another fragmented portion. Disneyesque.
I advocate an iCloud internet; an Apple owned and operated virtual private network (VPN) which gives access to that part of the internet which is information based, vs. that part which is misinformation based.
Apple can afford to create a multi-tiered iCloud Internet VPN. The first tier would be a gated but sedate community without all the riffraff we see today. I’m OK with a 21st century AOL. The second tier would be Disneyesque in nature; clean, unadulterated, pleasant, but with more R rated content.
