We live in a world far different than a few decades ago. The internet brought us the information superhighway which quickly became the misinformation superhighway; a toxic hell stew of too much worthless information intermingled with false information hiding behind a veil of legitimacy.
What happened? The so-called attention economy.
Every time you pick up your phone, turn on a screen, or open an app, you are for sale… We call it the “attention economy.” It’s the money companies make every time you pick up your phone.
Where does Apple fit in?
Apple wants your attention, too; from apps that engage to hardware that makes you feel good to use, the iPhone, Mac, and iPad maker uses many of the same usage techniques to carve out a niche that guarantees profits.
