Tera’s solution is less a fix of iTunes than it is a solution for the problems iTunes brings to Apple’s customers. The problem:
First, it has become a gargantuan beast devoid of pleasant personality. It’s the Prego of digital media. Everything is in there so iTunes does not excel at anything. Second, it’s a media mall– music, music store, TV shows and movies, Podcasts, internet radio, iPhone and iPad backups just scratch the surface of an app that is too confusing to use.
What can be done?
iTunes the conglomerate needs to go and Apple can replace the massive functionality with separate apps for various functions.
